Apparently the Russians are on to something here, taking a few notes and making things better. I can't find the original article that touted the fantastic glass, 40mm main tube, amazing turrets, built in rangefinder, amazing reticle design, and tank like durability but you can get one here:

Jokes on you, lol....I moved them to a warehouse I got for super good price in Donbass. My profit margin almost doubled but I lost of few workers from an escape attempt while transporting so inventory is a little low for next week and half.

This looks like a higher mag version of the 3-9x42 russian scope that used to be standard issue on a lot of their DMR guns (may still be).

The body is made of some sort of aluminum alloy we used to call "dural", not sure what the english name is. It was durable stuff as I recall.

They do. I do not think the 5-15x50 POST is like this, but the way the 3-9x42 1P21 works is a little bit like the Leatherwood ART: you sight it in at the lowest magnification. Then, as you range something with the reticle and as you adjust magnification, POA changes (calibrated for 7.62x54R out of an SVD).

That bad boy has to have a 4 piece tube, and the pieces attached to the side with screws holding it all together. Fit and finish is not a major concern!

POSP (made by Belomo in Belorussia) and PSO (made in Novosibirsk) scopes are somewhat archaic russian designs, but the 4x24 was the original Dragunov scope and it has held up well in many unpleasant places.

Novosibirsk technically is capable of better optics than Belomo, but they are mostly focused on night vision, so they do not make day scopes on any sort of consistent basis which makes them inconsistent.

Belomo, on the other hand, is making these consistently and all the time, so they are surprisingly decent and well made. I tested a dew over the years and they are weirdly not bad.
