Bipod Adapter

The rifle I have now has a rail on the bottom and I already have a harris bipod. The bipod adapter I bought sucked and was not very stable. Would it be better to replace the rail with a sling stud or is there a bipod adapter that does not suck. The one I have is cheap and I don't remember the name.

Is it an anshultz type rail.

Most of my buddies have picatinny rails over their bipods and they are very stable. But they all have G,G&G or ATLAS bipods none of the harris. I have harris on all my guns but attach them by the swivel stud. IT works well. If its not hard to put your swivel stud back on then you probably will be fine unless you actually need the rail for other things. Good luck

The best bet would be to sell your Harris bipod and buy an Atlas as soon as possible.

Larue makes a great quick detach adapter for the Harris.

DLOC-S units are in stock.
I'll put this mount up with any other Pic rail mounts.
No rail damage and adjusts to any manufacturers Pic spec (and they are not created equal) rails.

Update.....

We just got the newest version of Pod-Locs in stock.
KMW really did a great job on the new design.
You can get them as a stand alone part or have us put them on a bipod.
I'll have the website updated so you can get a Harris 6-9 notched as a straight up bipod or have us install:

-Pod-Loc
-DLOC-S
-Leg Lock screws

And of course Pod Claws...

Ala Carte but we do all the installation before everything goes out the door.
