Been looking at all kinds of bipods lately and I really like the lra bipod. My question is, is the lra really $200 better than am atlas? For that matter, is an atlas $100 better than a harris? I've just started shooting long range "tactical/sniper" matches. I'm all for the buy once, cry once mindset but not if it's unnecessary.

I can't speak for the lra but yes, the Atlas is $100+ better than the Harris.

I can't speak for the lra but yes, the Atlas is $100+ better than the Harris.

How would you set up a bi-pod to work on a MWS with a rail and a Mod. 700 with only a stud? I'm committed to buying an Atlas, but only want to have to buy one. Thanks...

It looks a lot like the same concept the Atlas uses but quite a bit more expensive. If it's worth $450 to you then buy it and let us know how you like it.

I wouldn't think twice about putting the LRA on anything other than something huge like a 338 or 50 or F-class/bench only rig etc. If you want it for something like that I might hold off to see what Kasey and the guys at B&T do with their new large rifle Atlas 5H bipod. He told me he was pretty much taking February off to work on that and I would think it should be out soon.

I think Accu-shot employees are putting up all these awesome reviews of their products to encourage feeble minded people like ourselves to buy only from them. Well... it worked. I just bought the Atlas V8.1 a few days ago and I can't wait to shoot with it.
