im starting my quest into doing a little long range shooting. Ive seen where some people use sand bags up front, and some people use Bipods. Ive used both, probably a little better with the sandbag. Whats the pros and cons of each, which way should i look into?

I've found that sandbags usually have too much bounce and slip to them when the rifle recoils, and it's difficult to get high enough at times. There are much better rests out there, but it does work in a pinch when nothing else is available.
Shooting off a bipod is a skill that needs to be learned how to load them properly and diagnose errors when your shots start stringing, but once you master it they are far better.

Sandbags are cheap and easy. They work well from prone or bench.
Bipods work well when you need to be light and fast.
