Weird title I know…..

New here and to bolts guns for that matter, gas and shotguns are what I know the most. Well I do not recall how I stumbled onto the site but man am I glad I did! Starting reading the site and watching you tube videos and was just hooked; there is (at least to me) a certain mystic to bolt guns (never having owned or shot one). I am from La Porte Texas but I am currently working in Tulsa, hope to be home mid April or early May, anyways I digress, I started reading the site and was looking at rifles and I decided I would order one, ordered a Savage 10 PC 5R, picked it up last Friday and all in the world was good. After that I ordered scope mount, rings, SS 3x9 and all the decent fixens that would make a decent entry level shooter.

So this morning I went to a gun shop here in Tulsa to look for something (can't recall what now) and walked out with a Remington 700 SPS AAC-SD, was a good price from what I could tell and well, why pass up on a good deal, who has too many guns?

So I have been bitten by the bug and it feels quit good even though I have only a slight clue as to "what/how/when/where" to really do. There is so much on this site that you could almost get by without even asking a questions just by doing the Google search, really a ton of good information, so thanks to all that contribute and to those that have made this site available to noobs like myself to learn and discuss topics on shooting. I hope to pick some of your minds and maybe ask a dumb question every now and then, so thanks ahead of time.

Oh and the bug spray in the subject of this dribble well that is my wife, and I am sure when I get home with 3 new firearms I have bought (purchased a MSAR AUG here as well) while out of town will have some verbal pest control for me, with that said, thanks again for the great site, I hope to one day be able to contribute.

Welcome to the Hide. Glad to see you are getting into rifles, you already have yourself two pretty good rifles to start with. Now you just need to get some pic of those jewels and get 'em up on here so we can all see them.

Hope you are enjoying you stay in Oklahoma.
