I was looking into purchaseing a couple boxes of blackhills ammo today, The red box stuff is what I have used before. I came acrossed some in a blue box that was the same thing but black hills remanufactured.
Does this mean that the blue box is made with once fired brass?
Also is it as accurate or will it be less accurate?
It is $10.00 less per box of 50 for the blue box
just thought i would run it by the hide before i made my decision to purchase it.Any imput would be appreciated.
Thanks

The only real difference i see is that you wont get as much reloadin for the brass as you would for the red batch.

The BH "Remanufactured" ammo is put together with once-fired (they call it "previously fired") brass. Thus, it will be mixed headstamp as well. That is the only appreciable difference in my experience as the accuracy between the Red and Blue box ammo is excellent all around. I have run the Blue Box 75gr and 77gr match loads with excellent results in the past in a wide variety of ARs and bolt guns. If it were me...I'd save the money (or buy more ammo) and go with the Blue Box.

Also, don't forget that Mike at SW Ammo is now offering some excellent .223 and 5.56 loads. Take a look here and you should find some discussion/results/pricing info/etc. on the SW offerings.

Good luck!

In addition to ORD's comments, in limted testing, the 55 gr loads shoot at or under one MOA in my Rock River AR.
