Well, yes and no. Voter turnout means little when elected politicians become turncoats for money and we all know money is the root of all sin, for the most part. Humans are weak and most of them will do anything for money. Just something to think about. And they are actively turning politicians and paying people to vote more or less. That doesn’t include absentee votes, illegal votes, people that are dead voting and so forth. We got to get a handle on this. And truth be told, we as citizens of this fair country should be demanding that all money be taken out of politics, after all that is the root of the problem. Seriously, we should be demanding these people step down, take no salary, take no benefits and have term limits, demanding it, armed if necessary. Why? Because that’s the only way it will ever change. None of them are going to willingly find character all of a sudden and just take themselves off of the gov tit. That will never happen. it’s too late for that. People can scream we can vote change all they want, won’t ever happen until we get money out of politics. THAT IS WHAT HAS RUINED IT ALL AND ALLOWED THIS CORRUPTION TO CONTINUE. Your points are valid EXCEPT for the fact that lack of conservative turnout has been one of the largest, if not the largest cause for republican loses. Democrats have been buying votes for a long time and that number is not going to increase dramatically because there are not that many new votes to buy. Yep, politicians are corrupt. How do we effect that? Go vote in large enough numbers to actually have an effect. Most of the ills you mentioned can be changed by voter turn out. “All it takes is for a good man to do nothing.” The things that turn out cannot fix are only solved by force.
