books?

just wondering if you all could point me in the right direction on a book to help me learn the tricks of the trade to better my shooting out to a grand . somthing that covers the mil system and maybe loading . just all around good books every beggining long range shooter should read. tried a search but came up with nothing. and sorry if this is in the wrong thread.thx guys

I havent got this but I hear it is very good , written by an American champion shooter

I can only tell you that the Plaster books and videos are more about fieldcraft than anything else. In fact, all the "sniper" texts I've read were like that. The Thompkins book is probably geared more toward the actual shooting aspects.
