Please see attached pictures. I have been having trouble with factory ammo and lapua brass with 212 gr and 230gr reloads chambering without getting stuck in the freebore. Any input is appreciated.

Copper fouling and carbon buildup/ring ... bad. Soak overnight in Bore Tech C4 Carbon Remover ... and then scrub the crap out of it. Repeat as necessary until the carbon is gone. Then go after the copper fouling with a good product, I use M-Pro-7 Copper remover but any of the quality products will do. You have a really ugly barrel there ... stop shooting until it's free of carbon and copper, and then take pictures to assess the barrel further.

Is that copper or rust in the chamber (straight ahead shots)?

Do you not clean often? You might as well plug the muzzle with a foam ear plug and fill that whole barrel with eliminator...

Thank you for the reply. I will post pictures once completed.
Strip that copper out !
Fair amount of throat erosion- chambering/round count?
300 prc with about 700 rounds through it. I originally had issues with this barrel due to a bad reamer and had to send it back. They used a new reamer and sent it back.

Plug barrel and fill her up with CLR. Scrub the pods out of it then strip all the copper out like mentioned above.

I clean more often then I should probably but never had a problem with anything building up.

Document your process and keep updating with bore scope pics. I’d be interested to see your results
Used hoppes cleaner and butches bore shine. Scrubbed the heck out of it and these are the results. Not too happy with the results however bullets are able to reach the lands again with no problems. In the last photo there is what looks like a small crack that appeared in the freebore. Any opinions?

How many times did you use the bore shine? It may require quite a few passes but it does look like you are slowly starting to get it cleaned out. I’d keep cleaning. Only removing some of it means that it’ll become a problem again sooner than later.
