Bottom metal for a savage action?

I am helping a friend build a savage LR rifle in 7mm RM, and he wants to have detachable mags.... Anyone know of some bottom metal that will work with a savage 116 action? (that is what he has to start with: http://www.savagearms.com/116fcss.htm )

try JW Precision on here, he should have a Vbull for the Savage long actions in stock, takes AI mags

Cool, thanks, i found his site. Another thing, are there 7 RM AI specific mags, or do all long action AI mags wirk well with all the mag caliberrs? (sorry, i know almost nothing of the AI system, only work with savages)

that you'll have to ask someone else, I'm sure John or someone will know, I don't shoot anything in a bolt that isn't 308 based
