Gunsmithing bottom metal suggestions

im looking for bottom metal for a build i started a long time ago but never got around fining till now. this is a nosler 28 in a stiller tac 300 action and im going with a manners mcs-eh1 stock. i haven't ordered the stock yet. id like a hinged floor plate style mag, but all that seems to be available is ptg. ive read a lot about their quality isnt there, but honestly have no personal experience.

any suggestions would be nice.

Look at Hawkins Precision. He makes high quality bottom metal, and is as nice a guy as you could ask for. I would email him, his email is on his webpage.

I've had some ptg bm's and as much as I'm totally not happy with their services right now, the bm quality is good. I've not had hawkins bm yet, but I do have their rings. My opinion is that they are your next seekins success story. Great stuff.

Dakota Arms bar stock machined pieces are what I use. Very well made and they don't flip open from heavy recoil.
Not the cheapest, but good shit never is.

I have a flush mount SA DBM from Curtis Customs that uses a flat 3rd magazine.
They also make a LA version...

I like the hawkins because it allows you to adjust the pressure of the springs that hold the gate closed. It's a truly adjustable bm.

Yes it is. I just received one for not much more than factory stuff and it's absolutely better.
