So at the LGS and saw my first ever Bushnell Elite Tactical in person. It was the LRS model (Model #ET2164) 2.5-16x42mm. It has a 30mm tube. I can't find much information about this scope online. I see some Bushnell Elite Tacticals for $500 and some for $2000. I paid $550 for the LRS and it looked great in the store. Haven't got it mounted yet but just curious how the glass in this scope compares to say a Zeiss Conquest HD5 or Swaro Z3? I plan on using it on my Tikka T3 for hunting. Did I make a bad decision? My original plan was to go with the HD5 or Z3 but I got impatient and like this scope and walked out with it..

Did you have another Japanese built scope, with a lifetime warranty and one-year-bullet-proof money back guarantee, for $500 in mind?

Based on my experience with an HDMR Elite Tactical with 3.5-21x50 and a G2 reticle, yeah, the $2000 scope, you won't go wrong.
I'm not a hunter, I punch, or try to anyway, small holes in paper. I couldn't ask for better glass nor would I need it as all my shooting is done between 11 AM and 5 PM and I'm in S. Fla so not even cold and rain to worry about.

I have a Swarovski 3-18 Z5 that has really top end glass and the thing does give a brighter image with better color and clarity but, it is $2500 and its MOA/MOA with a BDC reticle, while it seemed a good idea at the time, doesn't work for me once I got into a FFP mil/mil scope with a G2 reticle. In fact, its coming off my LWRC REPR and going onto my Ruger Gunsite scout for use as a hunting rifle. The 3.5-10 Leupold on there is going onto my Kreiger bbld upper for my SR 15 and another HDMR going on the REPR as funds permit.

Tikka260 makes a good point. The Bushnell's have a one year bulletproof warranty. If you mount it and don't like it then you can get your money back (minus tax and shipping) with no questions asked. That being said I have no experience with your scope but I did have the 3.5-21 G2DMR and it was a solid scope. Glass not as good as $2500 scopes but it was half the price, but at 35 oz it was just too heavy for my purposes.
