Just got my first can approved and I took it out two separate times just to plink and hear it, nothing serious. I checked concentricity visually looking from chamber down bore and with a McMaster Carr precision ground rod and it looked good.
1st trip was with a TC Compass 308 and after 3 shot group to confirm zero I screwed the can on and it didn’t even hit paper. After another shot aiming up it hit the bottom of the paper and the new POI ended up about 10”-12” low.
2nd trip with my Remington 700 308 mdt chassis and it pretty much did the same thing.
I keep getting that the weight of the can is most likely the issue, but that just seems pretty drastic. Anything I can do or check to confirm this and not have issues moving forward ?

thanks !
