BR-2 Primers to soft?

I started shooting BR-2 primers on a mild load for .243 the same load I've been shooting for 500 rounds now, just changed to br-2 from 200's and I have these crater/splash marks from the firing pin hitting the primer. I think these primers are softer than the cci 200 I was using. Does anyone have any advice about this? The load is 41.5 H4350, 90gr scenar, lapua brass, coal 2.828 , lands 2.910 and receding, 3050fps. Thanks for your help

Re: BR-2 Primers to soft?

CCI primers are not soft, they are very hard, if not the hardest out of all of them. I use BR2 primers for my 308 with some hot loads and no problems so far.
