Cleaned my barrel this afternoon (first cleaning - first rounds to be fired Sunday morning). I used Wilson Combat carbon remover (from my pistol kit), and then went back with CLP/break free... and I was surprised on the amount of additional fouling picked up. I have Boretech carbon and copper remover on hand as well... any experience using just theCLP as a cleaning agent? Thanks for the feed back! ??

CLP is a shitty cleaner, decent lubricant and decent protectant.
It is not goods at anything except making a mess.
The easiest way I've found to clean a bore is to run a few wet patches of No 9, dry patch then foaming bore cleaner. Let that sit for a couple of hours then patch it, followed by wet patches of No 9, let that sit, dry patch then follow that up with a wet patch of alcohol (I store mine dry) otherwise, you can leave No 9 in the bore and patch it before you shoot.
