Anyone read this book?

Just about to finish it - PHENOMENAL book.

Any time you think life's too good and you have it all, boats, cars, guns - whatever - read this book. Might show you how fast you could lose it.

Had a divorce in 1993, bill collectors came a calling, ended up from a nice house to a decent apartment, then roommates, down to a basement downtown Bremerton - not far from where this book was written.

Luckily I found a way to buy and sell computer parts and began a career that got me where I'm at - but I never forget how easy it would be to lose it all.

Good book, do the guy a favor and buy a copy..

Well, when you don't have a whole lot to begin with, the down fall is minunm. The bottom means to me is getting a few chickens, goats, grow a garden, fire up a whiskey still ,make my own black powder, maybe even forge and hammer out a black powder barrel,,need a couple horses and plow, wagon, got a old horse draw two row planter, build an underground house for cutting your heating and cooling cost. We have heard that the rich folks in Commiecalifornia who lost everything were commiting sucide. Frame of mind, adapt and adjust.

Agreed - but if you take a city dweller who knows nothing but starbucks and going to work and put them in that environment very few survive - this guy did....:)

You were born to survive, some of us learned it as we grew, and others know nothing of it.

IF the SHTF the big city folks will all die out anyway
