Officer was cleared in shooting 6 years ago. New St. Louis County prosecutor tried to reopen investigation and finally admitted there was not enough to try to prosecute. This is same guy who had charged the white couple filmed with weapons outside their Central West End home defending their property with firearms. The pistol that was confiscated was found to be inoperable account the couple had purposely rendered the firearm inoperable by assembling the firing mechanism in a manner that the firing pin didn't work. He had his crime lab reassemble pistol so that it would fire so that he could charge couple with weapons charge. This POS is just looking to make a name for himself by creating controversy.
Most of Illinois is not liberal by no means. Greater Chicago metroplex and 3 surrounding counties and St. Clair and Madison Counties (closest to St. Louis) are the liberal hotspots of the state.

There is actually a pretty nice section of Ferguson with wine bars and micro breweries not far from where the riots happened.
