I’ve been shooting rifles most of my life. My first rifle when I was 8 my aunt gave me a red Ryder for a birthday present. Since then I’ve added to my collection where honestly I don’t know what I have other than saying 2 safes full. Where I live finding a place to shoot longer than a few hundred yards is difficult . I’m getting too old to drive 3-4 hours each way in the same day to get to a 1000 yd range. I made a interesting compromise in my shooting. I have gotten heavy into high end PCP air rifles. My home range which is 200 yard give me the same targeting thrills as my powder burners did at ranges up to 1200 yards. If any of you who may live around my area (just south of West Point ) would ever want to experience long range air guns just get in touch.
I’ve posted a picture of my RAW HM 1000. In 25 caliber it can shoot 1 hole groups at 220+ yards and that’s with a cheap Discovery scope that is temporarily on it as I have a Sightron SVED on back order.
