Then again it's just Euro so who cares, we won't bail your ass out this next go round.</div></div>

Wow your history is bad </div></div>

You take your history lessons from Baghdad Bob?

OK, now you have proved to be a total moron. You think I would pay someone to say that our stuff is better than the next? WOW you figured it out.....but just the opposite, I pay guys to stir up shit like this for the publicity, kind of like the trouble with Lindsay Lohan.

BTW- have we even figured out IF there IS actually a problem with the scope??? 90% of all the EREK problems that we have been running into recently have all been user error after a following poor instructions on how to zero.

Should have ended after what Rob said.

Why feed the troll? He didn't even fill out his profile, so why bother respond to a possible hit and run troll?

Happy Thanks Giving~

Re: Broke my uso scope...

My rifle took a huge fall and the Seekins rings snapped from the impact. But the USO scope still functions perfectly. I can't say a S&B will take a beating like that and still function perfectly. (but I am guessing S&B fanboy will step in and claim it).
As for proof I have pictures of broken rings from a first class manufacturer of rings and an undamaged USO scope.

John you and your network of retailers seem to be on this forum taking up your products just like how other retailers are on here also talking up theirs.

These forums used to be places were you found out the truth but they are more and more like the magazines and their biased reviews funded by sponsor money.

Its impossible to know who has a commercial interest in giving their so called opinion on a product.

im not going to fuel this thread anymore ill agree to disagree. i know where my money is spent

How about this;

We are actually made in the US, really we are.....come look at the facility. Go take a look at the others that claim to be made in the US.

All assembly is also done right here in the same building by skilled technicians with many years experience in the optical industry.

We are manufacturing in the worst state possible and we don't pass this along to our customers, we eat it out of our own pockets in wages. None of us here make anything close to what we should, but we do it for the love of the business.

We are a relatively newer company, being started in 1990, then I took it over in 2004 where the growth really started to happen.

In contrast our prices have not gone up much in the years that we have been in business. As our production levels have increased, our cost of production has decreased and I have passed the savings onto the consumer by not raising prices.

We are not a stagnant company; we are constantly refining our products and spending much needed revenue on R&D projects.

Come January our ISO 9001 certification will be completed, these processes are already streamlining our production procedures as well as our QC procedures.

FX1- it is obvious that you don't like us/me, so why don't you just go buy which ever scope you like and don't bother ever ordering anything from us......everyone will be happy.

Happy Thanksgiving!
John III</div></div>

OH really.

So the fact that Zeiss and S&B are made in one of the most expensive countries in the world with one of the worst exchange rates on top of the huge R&D and lab costs that you dont have along with all their engineers and staff costs but still manage to get these scopes to the "world" market for the same price you do has no bearing at all?

i have no problem with you actual scopes i just said they wasnt in the same league as a Hendsolt and a S&B.

What i do have a problem is with your marketing tactics which obviously consists of a number of people who are pretty much paid to defend your products and influence the opinion of what is essentially a forum.

It seems these people are very fast to chip in when something negative comes to light about a USO scope, only to try and discredit the individual for the bad press.

One guy defending USO had "Freelance Marketing and Sales" in his employment details on this forum. Its not a hard stretch to imagine whats going on here is it?

if your products are so good and are worth the $3200 you charge for them why not let them speak for themselves. </div></div>

I understand John defending himself/his company, but everyone else, for the love of the internet, STOP FEEDING THE TROLL!

ETA: Can we just start a petition for him to be banned?

Re: Broke my uso scope...

I don't get paid to hawk anyone's wears, and don't get or take free shit either.

I went USO completely, after one of my sticks was dropped about 25 feet by a DOD shit head, 1/4 way threw a comp for Star's an Suits. It shifted POA/POI, 1/2 IPHY but still won the comp. That kind of abuse,... and still works,... tells me alot.

Well, you and I do agree on this! I know Frank personally and he doesn't make any money off of this site, and I know that the magazines are heavily funded by advertising, another reason scopes cost more, but to keep up with the other companies out there we are forced to advertise with them.

I am open to constructive discussions about relative topics, and was very close to not even posting on this thread until the comments about justification of pricing on our products. To me that is stepping over a line in the sand that you have no right to step over. Go see how much time, effort and money it takes to build an optics business, I'll tell you my engineers aren't cheap!

Again, you all have a great Thanksgiving!

Dude ooh Dude, you could not be farther from the truth.
Magazines are all about who pays to advertise. Thats why I quit writing for magazines long ago.

While John and I have have not always seen eye to eye, he has excellent products, folled by even better customer service and that knob design fng rocks. I said before and still believe the SSDS is my favorite scope for sending 175 308s down range. Its built like a tank.

With that said everything breaks.

I have a truck built by manufacture A. It has 160,000 miles and has never burbed. The fifth vehicle from them I have purchased over last thirty years. None of them ever broke anything. Now we bought the same manufactures high end sports car a few years ago, as my wifes, no longer a mommie car. It broke the first month we had it. Does that mean its a POS, or shit happens?

Guess who gets my next vehicle purchase? Manufacture A because they fixed issue right away.

Re: Broke my uso scope...

I'll take a handout to try one out, I aint Skeered. Here's a question John, do you guys sell "refurbed" scopes at a discount to us PO Folk? Or is it that no one in history has ever returned one other than a tune up? have "seconds" maybe laying around, jus sayin

Re: Broke my uso scope...

I knonw a guy that actually had to send a nightforce back because it didn't track right, my shooting buddy bought a new S&B pmll and it had metal shaving loose inside the tube, they sent him a new one, every repituable manufacture has glitches and errors, its how they handle them that set them apart, if uso takes care of this guy then not only should this thread die, it should have never been started, just my opinion

Come out to Phoenix next week for the SAR Show, we have several scopes that have little factory blems, nicks in the outside finish etc. We take these to this show to sell at a discounted price.

We get scopes in from editors from time to time, these either get sold or go on one of my rifles.

Re: Broke my uso scope...

Guess no one takes me seriously. Ok now the hammer will fall and you won't see some people around here for a while.
