Bullseye Cameras - with upgraded antennas?

I have been using the Bullseye camera with the extended range antenna and modem for several years. my 1000 yd range is lined with very tall pines and connectivity is in and out. i have tried elevating both ends to help line-of-sight but it is still not 100% reliable. i have bought a couple of antennas which are the same frequency but better quality to try. i thought to ask if anyone had tried others.

The range is 1000 yds and is maybe 170 ft wide. So it is clear and only light grass between the transmitter and receiver but the sides are lined with trees. it makes a narrow corridor to shoot through.

I have set up continuous wave commo gear (Morse) with a slant wire and counterpoise ground and made commo from halfway around the world by skipping it off the ionosphere. this ought to be easy but i guess i need to tune it a might. I will gladly share anything that works and also with the manufacturers as they are genuinely good guys and very helpful.
