Rifle Scopes Burris Veracity

I have the 200625 model (5-25, SCR MOA, FFP, mads) that I like for the price point. The glass isn't fantastic, but pretty good for the price. I've read here the glass supposed to be the same as, or very similar to the XTR2. The image gets a bit dark at higher magnifications, but that was comparing it to more expensive scopes. I don't recall any real issues with eye box or CA.

The myriad of knob/turret configurations is a bit frustrating to figure out when comparing. My model's low profile exposed knobs are really nice, and the zero stop is super simple and should be very robust. Although, this knob and turret combination only provides one rotation (24 MOA) of adjustment; you can remove the knob's pin to gain full travel at the expense of the zero stop. I also like the included alternative short covered knobs and may change to an exposed elevation and capped windage configuration.

Also, this thing is super long compared to other scopes. It may not be a negative, but definitely check the dimensions.

been using a 2-10 veracity on a hunting rifle for several years now. has shot deer, elk, piggy, bobcat, turkey, skunk, prarie dog. just rock solid. dropped my rifle and dented the obj pretty good and knocked off the paralax. still shot amazing but recently decided to send it in to get repaired. they sent me a new scope even tho I asked for this one to be fixed. ha.

I would def compare glass to the XTR2. Rock solid glass choice if going into the thick, need reliability, and FFP retc. Im going to order the turret for it so I can have uncapped turret for a little more precision when hunting.

On rifle. Decent weight/size. 30mm tube. good fov.

The 3-15x50 that I used to own served me well. Reticle was usable at all magnification ranges, glass seemed good for the price, I only noticed CA once when there was severe backlighting. Low weight was a plus.

The only drawback was being limited to a single revolution of the elevation turret from zero without modifying the knob.
