I have a Bushmaster .308 ORC 16" sitting in the cabinet that I want to start to use. This is my first AR style weapon.
I hate the loose hand guards and really need something else up front. I have used google and snipers hide search engine and still have questions.
I am torn between a round style hand guard and a quad rail.
Anyone know for sure exactly what quad rails fit my rifle? It seems people are doing a fair amount of modifying to get some of them to fit. If I go with an aluminum free floated hand guard will there be any modifications or extra parts needed to make it work.
Sorry for the noob questions. The only thing on this rifle I am certain of is the receiver height does not match up well with standard rails and AR-10 stuff does not seem to work well either.
