I can pick up a NIB ORC for $1100. It's not an AR that I'm drooling over, but it's light enough to carry around hunting. I'm not concerned about reach or accuracy beyond 350 yards. I'd like to replace the handguard at some point...assume that's not a big deal to do.
Sure, I'd love to have a PredatAR or similar, but for the intended use as long as it will hold up to 100-200 rounds a year of range fire I wonder if I should hold out for higher quality build. The Fulton FAR-308 seems like a decent choice without really opening the wallet. But still nearly double.
