I'm looking at this scope as my first long range scope. I know it isn't mil/mil which would be nice, but I think I can live without mil/mil. Plus, my spotting scope isn't mildot so my spotter wouldn't be able to tell me in mils if I don't see where my bullets hits anyhow, right? This seems like a really good value. Does anyone have any input as to the quality or if I should get a mil/mil scope?

Re: Bushnell 5x15 Tactical??

If you are looking at the Elite Tactical in that size, it is mil/mil, meaning mil dot reticle and mil adjustments. Model #ET5154.

I'm looking at that model myself, would love to hear some feedback as I really don't have the $$$ for another NF....

Re: Bushnell 5x15 Tactical??

I was under the impression that all of bushnells tactical scopes were 1/4 moa. On the bushnell site it says .1 mil, but on any other site I found the scope on it says 1/4 moa. I would definitely get it if it were mil/mil. I have the chance to buy one of these new for $350 with 1/4 moa adjustments, should I pull the trigger? I'm not going to have any way to measure in mils other than looking directly through my own scope, but at longer range that won't work. Would the 1/4 moa be better in this aspect until I get a spotting scope with a mildot reticle? It's not like I can't range stuff without a mil/mil scope and I can still do hold over.

Re: Bushnell 5x15 Tactical??

The 5-15 is the old elite 3200 line.
It is mil/moa.
Even the 4200 and 6500 lines were mil/moa.

As far as I know, and I could be wrong, the only mil/mil scopes they offer are the 219 dollar 10X and the FFP series of scopes that start at 800+, go figure.

You're very limited, take a look at the weaver 3-10 from midway.
They are very nice scopes and on sale for 300 bucks.
