Rifle Scopes Bushnell FFP Mil/Mil 6-24X50 Illum Ret

Re: Bushnell FFP Mil/Mil 6-24X50 Illum Ret

I would suspect. I don't have "X" amount of rifles versus "X" amount of scopes to figure out what works with what. Bottom line is that the scope is worth experimenting with different bases to make it work, in my opinion.

Guys,

I'm making this post as a heads up about Burris Signature POS-Align rings with inserts.

They are fully adjustable left, right,up,down and do not mar the finish or tube of the scope.I've had a few sets through out the years and have had "zero" problems with them.I wouldn't classify them as a military grade ring but for most purposes the average guy uses them for they are fine.

In the past I was able to set up each scope/rifle combination exactly where I wanted the POI to be oriented in the scope as well as perfectly centered over the bore while the windage of the scope was centered.

Also keep in mind that if you are not using a ballisticly challenged cartridge

you will not have to use so much elevation. If you plan on shooting past 1000Y on a regular basis then it's probably best to choose another scope with more elevation.

Right now for around $750 this scope has allot going for it.The next step up till the Vortex PST's come out is the Vortex Razor at $2000.

I agree with you CKA. The scope was recommended to me and I really like it a lot. The support from Bushnell has been very good as well.

I simply thought it curious the difference in height above bore between the two rifles re their ability to zero, as that is still the only common denominator for the difference.

As for the sa

re the challenged ballistics...I can reach out to 1,500 yds (plus 8.8-9.8 MILS ain't that much), but...here in the Republic of Kali it doesn't matter as we're lucky to have a 1,000 yd range let alone anything else!

Thanks for this review. I got the same Bushnell FFP for my LMT MWS with a Noveske 20" 6.5 Creedmoor barrel I had converted for the MWS by DBMG. I am using a Laure 50 mount with 30moa and have over 13 mils of adjustment from my 100 yard zero. I just created a physical zero stop using a ring of copper pipe (found the idea by another member here on his Tasco SS). I need to confirm there is also enough adjustment when I drop my 16" 308 barrel back in. ETA: Since its a monolitic upper I don't need a cantilevered mount.
