Rifle Scopes Bushnell-would you?

Re: Bushnell-would you?

Good glass for the money, It only has about 44MOA of actual elevation so be informed. Plenty for your 300wm at 700 meters.

Im considering selling mine and picking up a Viper PST once they are released.

I don't know that there is glass anywhere on the market that will cure your issues with measurement...

As you know from our discussions, you won't go wrong with a lightly used Leupold, and I think that ol' Super Sniper might be worth a little more investigation.

Tunanut: I see you are a LKN native. That is where I call home as well when I'm not off globetrotting for the Army. I've been looking for a long range buddy there for a while - we should get a range trip together when I get back. I'm down off Exit 36/Catawba County area.

For out to 700 meters, I might look at the Elite 4200 3-12x44.

Re: Bushnell-would you?

Picked up mine used almost a year ago and it's done well. Probably 800 .308 rounds thus far. Glass is clear. Turrets are consistent. Banged a few times. Good midrange glass. Lots of good reviews on the on the site. Good value for $500-$600. As mentioned, adjustability is limited so you will need a 20MOA base. Allowed me to zero at 100 with just under 40MOA of elevation.

For out to 700 meters, I would look at a different caliber, but if you really want to shoot a .300 Win Mag at that range, go for it.

You're welcome to come to my land in Anson Co. set up for shooting up to 500, could go to 900 moving the bench back. Though I'm quite content with my 243AI w/Bushnell 6500 shooting 500 under 1/2MOA. It's way more accurate than anything we ever had in the Army. What's your MOS and when will you be out of the sandbox?

Re: Bushnell-would you?

Tunanut: I'm 11A - a PL right now. With any luck I'll be able to hang on to my platoon for the rest of the deployment. 10THMTNFSO and I just got here a couple months ago, so it will be quite some time before I'm back your way. Sounds good though, I'd love to take you up on that.

I put mine on a .300WM a week ago or so. It is working well.

only gripes are that the turrets don't line dead up on zero when you reset them, archaic reticle and not much elevation in the tube.

If you ever think you'll shoot past 700yds, even once... get you a +20moa scope base.

for the price this is the best game in town on this scope, if you can afford another $200 the now coming out Vortex Viper PST promises to have it all.

I used to live in Moorseville for a little while when I was racing. LKN is awesome hopefully I can move up there for good one day. I think I'm gonna drive up there for one of the Cup races this year I'll have to PM you guys if I do, maybe we can do some shooting.

OP: The Bushnell is a great scope, I use one on my 300 RUM and it handles the recoil very well. You won't be disappointed

Try Scott at Liberty Optics. Call him and tell him your a Hide member. You'll be surprised what kind of prices he has. He told me $780 shipped for the 6-24 PST.

Re: Bushnell-would you?

I have owned a few Bushies over time and found that they have all been good glass and very nice build quality. They stand out nicely against competitors at comparable price levels.

Re: Bushnell-would you?

Wasnt there just a big thread about how you're not supposed to reveal vendors who are selling below MSRP, because they'll get in trouble with the manufacturer...?
