Have looked and looked at the DMR, HDMR, ERS and I can't really any big difference in them. So would someone tell me what it is. They also only have 50MOA elevation. So I guess they mount them all on 20 & 30 MOA bases?

Something like 25 mils of elevation travel is what is sticking in my head but may be wrong (that may be with canted base, but think 25 is about right of actual scope travel). That'd be roughly 90 MOA but the scope is in mils so MOA isn't a good way to think of it. I have the HDMR with H59 reticle. Love it.

The 6-24x G2DMR is hardly ever mentioned. Are they junk, or are people turned off by the lack of adjustment with a 30mm tube? I've seen them as low as $800, and I'd think they have enough adjustment to push a .308 to 1000+ yards on a 20 MOA base so I'm wondering why they aren't mentioned often, even as a money saving option over the 34mm 3.5-21x models.

They are good scopes. They just have a few cons... No zero stop, no locking turret, and 5 mil turrets.

30 vs 34 mm is preference to an extent. You do get a little more with 34mm. But, if one uses that little more is up for grabs.

Me? I like my DMR. I've had the 6-24 30mm. It was good, no complaints. But I didn't use it as much as I have my DMR. I've put my DMR through a bit, and I've been left thinking that besides resolution at distance, there's nothing to complain about.

Thanks

What has me interested in the 6-24x is the price difference in the 3.5-21x models. If zero stop and 10-mil turrets warrents a $500 price increase with the same internal quality between the DMR and ERS, I was hoping that the 34mm tube and locking turrets is what makes up the price difference between the 6-24x and base DMR, quality being equall. If one doesn't necessarily need locking turrets and the extra adjustment, the 6-24x becomes quite attractive, again assuming quality is equall, but based on your experience, the extra cash for a DMR goes towards a partial increase in optical quality as well, making it easier to justify spending a few extra bills.

Sorry for the partial thread jack, I just wanted to figure out exactly where the 6-24x stands in the Bushnell FFP line up. If locking/zero stop becomes a strong interest I'll probably go with a Burris XTRII, but I'm really favoring the G2 reticle at the moment and don't have $1600+ to drop on an ERS.
