Lyons probably would draw the line at letting her son play cowboys with a toy gun, not because she’s opposed to “celebrating his masculinity,” but because, as we’ve discovered in recent history, children playing with guns is a bad idea. Similar to Ablow’s attitude about pink nail polish, giving a child a toy gun plants a certain seed, a seed that validates aggressive play and, by proxy, aggressive behavior. When teenagers and college students stop bringing real guns to their schools and killing their real, live peers, the nation may adopt a different attitude toward young boys and toy guns.

I know there's nothing I enjoy more than a nice bubble bath, a manicure, and a massage.

Since when it is such a bad thing to be a man? I'm kind of getting tired people turning men into metros.
