This just happened on their website "chat now" thingy.
Lance M.: Hi, my name is Lance M.. How may I help you?
david : i am trying to check out and select in store pickup, but i do not see the in-store pickup option
Lance M.: It is on the shipping address page.
Lance M.: The last option should be In-Store-Pickup.
david : there is no option there, i only see "my billing address" or "another address"
Lance M.: Select another address
david : ok... its asking me for details, name, address, city. do you want me to put in the store's physical address?
Lance M.: One moment please while I transfer you to someone who is versed in the Customer Service area.
Dave W: Hi, my name is Dave W. How may I help you?
Lance M. has left the chat.
david : im trying to check out and select in store pickup and there is no instore pickup option that i can see.
Dave W: How many items are you ordering?
david : depends how you quantify that; 10 packages of 100 primers.
david : 1 item, 1000 items...
Dave W: I was merely asking how many items to narrow down the problem area.
david : right. and i don't know how to answer you. it's 1000 primers. they are sold in packs of 100
Dave W: That answers my question.
david : let's move on.
Dave W: Primer cannot be shipped to the store for in-store pickup due to the hazardous nature. They must be shipped UPS ground.
david : im confused - they are sold in the store already which makes me resonably sure that you in fact do ship them to your stores.
Dave W: That is correct. They are sold in the store already. Primers, as well as all hazardous material require specific shipping procedures which are in-store pickup method is not approved for.
david : ok so, you sell them in the store, but i can not in-store pick them up?
Dave W : That is correct.
david : and if i goto the store will the price be the same as the website?
Dave W: Yes, with the hazardous shipping charges. If not, typically the store will honor prices from our website.
david : please go back and re-read what you just typed.
Dave W: Would you like to talk to someone else?
david : dear god no. i'll get it sorted out.
I was going to pick this up at the store.. I do 99% of my shopping online but figured I could avoid the hazmat fee. It's going to be worth the money now.
