Cadex chassis

Ok folks I'm a bit lost here. I have a savage model 12lrp and am wanting to put it in a chassis. I really like the cadex dual strike but it isnt offered in a savage short action, so I'm leaning toward a light strike. Here's the dilemma. According to the website they will fit a model 12 but not a target series. The 12 lrp uses a 4.4 screw spacing. Same as the non target series. What exactly is the difference between the standard and target action? And can the chassis be modified to work with a target action?

If you love cadex chassis and they fits you so well just sell your savage and get a remington 700 variant. More options as well.

I have several Remington 700s. I just like my savage more so I'll stick with it. Also was able to get in touch with cadex and they confirmed it will fit.
