If you have a center hit with one bullit say 168 gr Federal goldmedal match
Can one calculate what the poi will be with a 155 gr lapua scenar factory ammo at 2600fp. Maybe a lame question sorry but im having a meltdown hehe

Re: Calculate Poi with BC and Speed

I believe op want to predict the POI of the 155 scenar in a rifle that is zero's with 168 FGMM. Yes, I am sure you can extrapolate the information, but I do not have the formula. You can contact Bryan Litz and ask if he has the formula to do this, as he is a ballistician.

I can only predict the POI will be higher, as for true POI, no one knows the harmonics of your barrel, the bullets can strike left or right.

Edit: OP if you want to predict further out, just enter the data in your ballistic program and make another drop card, and correct your zero. I like the G7 program, as it has hundreds of bullets preloaded into the program http://www.gseven.com/ballistic-program
