I have been curious if it would be possible to mount a steyr ssg in an aics 1.5, if anyone has ever done this or considered doing this I'd sure like to know thanks, Joe

Hi Joe i have both a Stery SSG and rem 700's but i dont think that they will be able to be modified i will do some measurements and get back to you but i dont realy think they will fit you might be able to do a lot of machining and make it fit because the triggers ont he SSG are also a lot larger thann the rem units and the bolt positions are also diferent.

It would not bother me to butcher a used aics as long as the magazine will line up properly, I am curious if the trigger opening could be milled And maybe a new hole drilled for a lug and then maybe bed the rifle in the chassis if everything is remotely centered and would line up
