Advertised as a B&C, doesn't look like any current models. Can anyone place it?

Bell & Carlson came out with that model and sling mounting in mid 80's. Can't remember how many yrs they actually made it. They were mostly a foam core and not real strong, at least the one I had bought for then wife's rifle. I wasn't real impressed with it!

About 1980 or so, I bought one at a local shop for a Model 70 that was cracked through the wrist. Paid about $65.00 for it. Liked it so much that I epoxied the wooden stock, put it back on the Winchester, and gave the B&C away. </div></div>

    Gotcha...
    Guess I'll pass!

That is a B&C stock. If you scrape the inletting and it has a yellow core material it is constructed similar to our Carbelite stocks today. The "core" material back then wasn't the greatest, but the shell of the stock was very rigid.

B&C also made stocks in that era that were gel coat stocks. These are extremely tough stocks throughout. Some did have a yellow core, but mostly black.
