LOL You might want to notice that your talking to Brutas.....considering he works for what is considered the best barrel company in the biz....you might want re read what he just said. </div></div>
Seriously, especially the part about the throat and crown. BTW, you can not polish anything, without removing material. And since you did it with a mop, instead of a well fitted slug, what you probably removed was the top corner of the groves.
I am not a barrel-maker, nor a gun-smith, just a welder that has polished many a thing...with a grinder. Basically what you just did. Just had a finer grit.
