Cannon Gunsafe

Has anyone drilled into the walls of their safe? Need to install some hooks to hang stuff up. Any idea what the material behind the cloth is? How deep can you drill etc?

I installed a Cannon this summer and being thinking the same thing.

There's some room in the door that might be utilized.

But do you think it might interfere with the lock or bolts?

Probably sheetrock behind the cloth. Putting a few of holes in it and installing the metal sheetrock hangers/fasteners should be no problem.
If you remove the piece in the door to get extra space, you will be killing the fire rating.

I don't have a cannon,but I fastened a piece of pegboard on the inside of my door.There is usually some type of cover over the locking linkage,held on with screws. Pete

The Cannon comes right up to press against the shelves. At least mine does. I don't know if all Cannon's do the same thing.

I like the pegboard idea.
