Some companies are judged by a different set of standards on the Hide. Now if it was some other scope manufacturer, you will have your normal cast of characters coming out the woodwork to start the bashfest.</div></div>

No shit. This thread would be 7 pages deep by now if it was a PR. </div></div>

I agree.

I am fully aware all mechanical devices break. God knows Ive broken plenty, BUT I sure dont expect them to be broken when I open the box. Especially when its top tier equipment.

What if this was a duty scope where people's lives depended on it? </div></div>

Like a Mark IV?
KAC SR-25?

Shall I continue? </div></div>

LOL, lets not even talk about Leupy. Notice i did not mention it as the top three. And this is a question and not a challenge, but can you point to when the last time NF, USO or S&B had a catastrophic failure such as this? </div></div>

Cant point out the last one. Collectively, the above named scope makers have produced thousands of defective scopes, or scopes that failed during normal use.

My USO had two separate issues in the first two months of owning it. One was the fault of the builder and the other was a defect missed by QC. Both issues fixed. 3 years have passed and that scope still rocks, not a hiccup.

Alpha,
If it's taking you more than a few minutes to mount a scope, your doing some thing wrong.

</div></div>

This may be true for companies that have sold THOUSANDS of scopes. As i mentioned and will say again, i do not believe Vortex has sold a 1000 Razor HDs. I dont think they have even sold 100. Remember that even at 100 scopes that is $200,000.00 . And i have seen at least 5-8 different posts about issues with this particular line. So if my ASSUMPTION is correct do you think a 5% failure rate is acceptable for your top of the line scope?

Re: Canted reticle in Vortex Razor

Based on the customer service and warranty I'm saving for a viper pst when they com out. Some of yall do make good points though, but I don't think you can go wrong for the price, options it comes with, and that kind of guarantee.(But then at one time just a few years ago Chrysler's Dodge brand started offering a Lifetime powertrain warranty to original owners, and you see what happened to them, they needed a government bailout to keep from going under.) Must not have helped sales?? Huh

Re: Canted reticle in Vortex Razor

I would like a reply from Scott at Vortex. I see that he has replied to the other "Vortex" threads but this one has been ignored. As a potential customer for PST, it would be great to hear from the horse's mouth.

Let me assure you that we have addressed this issue thoroughly.

Re: Canted reticle in Vortex Razor

Scott,

It appears that some people are just being difficult. As the customer that was affected by this particular scope, I am completely satisfied and I will continue to be a Vortex customer.

Thanks again!

man made things aren't always perfect and that's all there is to it.

I had the same problem with my pst ffp 6-24 so I sent it back and received it back in about one weeks time and the reticle is still canted to the left!!!! And yes it was mounted correctly and checked and rechecked several times. I even went as far as taking the scope off and having someone else mount it without explaining why only to have them say " dude this scope is messed up".I agree with all the comments that the customer service is good, fast etc. I think other scope makers may have the same customer service and we may not know it because we never have to use it!!!!!!
