I'd got a Savage 110BA .338 Lapua 2-3 years ago. Its got a good quality high powered scope (Nightforce NXS), Prince bipod and a grip pod for fast deployment and setdown/pickup without having to use the Prince which takes some tugging and juggling to deploy. The gun is heavy to start, the rest of the gear adds a few pounds, and the guns sharp edges don't make for a very comfortable carry. Its definitely built to be grounded or benched.
So I want to put a carry handle on it. Searched everywhere and couldn't find something to fit without major work. M60, M249 etc handles would have been good or others that fit the M2, M1919 etc. Getting the handles and other hardware was virtually unobtainium, for instance the M249 handle mount goes with the barrel, not sold separately.
What I wound up doing was having a local gunsmith modify some of those cheap handles you can get on Amazon for your AR into a very stout 2 handle system, replacing the narrow gauge wire with something about 1/4" and tempered once shaped. I added some automotive hose around it to avoid metal to metal chipping on the finish and scope. Here's the result:
The wire curves well out to allow for the scope, or a much larger one like the PON3x78, also with good top clearance for the hand and larger scope.

When the gun is set down the handles fall off to the sides out of the way.

If this is something someone might be interested in I can give the name of the gunsmith and you can contact him.
