Carryhandle click value in cm / meters

Hi guys

I have a AR15 with a 14.5 inch barrel, and pretty sure its also a carbine lenght gas system. I have a carryhandle with the 6/3 mark ( and also a little "z" mark if it matters ). The front sight is non "F" marked if it matters ( shouldent it bee thou if its a flattop carbine!? ).

Now the question is: What is the click value of 1 click on the elevation drum on 100 meters?

All info i can find is in yards / inches.

Well...

100y = 91.44m

Inches per click @ 100y = inches per click at 91.44m

91.44m / 100m = .9144

Inches per click / .9144 = inches per 100m

Multiply inch per click @ 100m by 2.54 = CM per click at 100m.

Thanks man So if the carry handle click 3/4 inches at 100 yards, that would be 2.083 cm per click at 100 meters... Right?

For the M4 carbine:

• Each click of the windage knob on the rear sight is 0.5 minutes of angle
• Each click of the elevation drum is 0.75 minutes of angle
• 3.43 minutes of angle = 1.0 milliradians = 10 cm/100 m

Just started putting together my first national match m16a4 so just wanted to clarify something here. If you have a 6/3, that would indicate a detachable carry handle which would mean a flat top upper. If that's the case wouldn't you need a F-marked front sight as those are the appropriate height for flat tops?

There is no difference in the overall height of an “F” marked front sight base and a standard front sight base. The only difference between the two front sight bases is the height of the sight “shelf” above the top of the barrel.
