Rifle Scopes Case ejection clearance issues?

Re: Case ejection clearance issues?

or should the medium XTR rings be used. I have a source for these rings which is the reason that I'm using them. I just want to ensure that the scope is no too high, and that the empty brass will not hit anything on its way out..like the windage turret, for example.

Ok...sometimes ( like now), if you actually explain yourself better people might actually be able to help...
we're looking for complete thoughts and the whole story...
what rifle, does it interfere now, etc.

Re: Case ejection clearance issues?

Sorry, thought I'd keep it short and to the point. 700 SPS Tactical with mounted SS 10x42 on 20moa base. Question then follows. If I select low rings with that size objective, is there a chance that the empties will hit the windage turret? Or will medium size (Burris XTR rings)be better. I don't want the thing mounted too high. I remember reading a review online that had this particular problem - that was not resolved by simply moving the scope either forwards or backwards. Again, sorry, I was trying to avoid a "novel" for this question..
