Ok I'm reading mixed reviews on castle nut wrenches on both midway and brownells. Which castle nut wrench will work for me? All i need to do is take off the castle nut on my POF P308. Really not looking to spend 70-100 bucks.

+1 on Kenda's question.

If you are talking about the castle nut that holds the carbine receiver extension/stock tube in place...I don't know anyone who has paid near that much for the tool.

I bought a $5 RRA castle nut wrench at a gun show about 10-12yrs ago and have used it dozens of times with great results.

Oh yeah! That castle nut is even easier. Get an old pair of vice grips, your dremel, and a drill. Grind the teeth out of it and drill a hole in the top jaw and put a pin in it. TADA! Instant adjustable simple spanner wrench. Used to have a real large pair that we used for Savage barrel nuts but it required a bit more work.

And I'll only charge you half of the $75 for use of the idea!
