After seeing some of the Cerakote jobs Hide members have posted pics of on here, I decided to give it a try myself. I initially just wanted to refinish a shotgun that's been bouncing around in a patrol car with me every shift for the last 12 years but my overkill personality took over and I ended up spraying 5 shotguns, an AK47, Keltec, Sig and a Springfield XD. I've gotta say that the venture was worth the time I spent researching and I owe a big "thank you" to Todd Powers for a few email pointers that certainly saved me time and from wasting material. I made my first attempt at a camo job and despite all the beer involved, I think it came out OK. I'm certainly not claiming to be an expert but I believe everthing came out pretty good. I have some bolt guns I'm going to experiment with however I'll lay off the booze when their time comes.

That is a good question... I was looking at them until Keltec announced the KSG12. I'm hoping that will scratch my 12 gauge itch.
