Gunsmithing Cerakoting Optics, Lights and Lasers?

So I wanted to gather peoples thoughts on what series of Cerakote to use on items with glass and electronics. On one hand the H series has a plethora of colors, but I'm concerned baking lights, optics, lasers, switches, etc, can damage them. But on the other hand I also see a lot of people using the H series for scopes, NVG devices, etc... I'll use air cure if I have to but there's not many colors available compared to the H series. Any input is appreciated.

Myself (and many others here) use the "flash cure" temp (like when layering stencils), but for a longer period of time.

Probably not as hard/durable as curing at full temp- but personally, I haven't had any issues doing optics with this method.

Thanks for the info! Just so I can get a rough idea, how long do you flash cure? 30 mins?

When I did it, so a scope and a Meprolight RDS, I taped up all the glass and just rubbed the surface of the optic with Scotch Brite to just "scuff" it, them sprayed and baked normally at the 150 F. Make sure that you do some research into the specific optic? since some "glues" that are used can't take the temp. IIRC Aimpoint was one of them. I believe that Vortex was G2G, the scope I did was Leupold.

None of this has been "tested and approved" so to speak- so my way, sure as hell ain't the gospel...
Standard cure H-series is 250 for two hours. I see Ckote recently changed their "specs", used to also be 300 for one hour but seems that now that's only for Elite...no idea why they changed this, unless they've modified the formulation (?).

I do three hours at 150- but others I'm sure do it differently.

Again- for me- I won't Cerakote inexpensive optics with heat cure. I've got complete faith in mid and upper tier optics in handling 150 degrees (which is no hotter than my truck in August)- but not so much with the cheap ones.
