Gunsmithing Cerakoting over glass bedding

Hey guys,

Just got done glass bedding my Tikka T3. When I was grinding the bedding down, the dremel got away from me a bit and uglied up my stock(I'm particular about my guns).

Well my thought was to fill the area, sand it, then cerakote it. My question is will cerakoting the stock and over the top of the bedding mess up the bedding and cause stress on the action or am I good to do that?

You'll be fine, but if you're worried just mask off the bedding and have at it.

Anyone know what prep has to be done to a stock before cerakoting it? It is a Bell and Carlson Medalist green with black webbing.

Degrease with acetone, light media blast with 120 aluminum oxide.

Some B&C stocks wont handle the oven cure temps, some will.

If, your using H-Series keep the temp between 150 and 160 degrees.

I'd stick to the C series, I had a HS Precision stock crack in a few spots when I baked it at 160 for 2hrs. Not saying it would happen to all of them, but the risk is there.
