Henderson Precision Gen2 - 14deg inside chamfer-30 outside chamfer
Henderson Precision

vs

Giraud Trimmers - 15 degree inside case mouth chamfer and 45 degree outside chamfer
Giraud Trimmer

What should I choose and why does it matter? I was told it had to do with the type of bullet i use...

Currently using 6mm Creed 115DTACs soon to switch to Berger 109's

*I am new to the reloading currently using my friends Lyman Xpress and it takes forever*

BTW, Giraud products are superior in terms of user friendliness and speed.

I had never heard of Henderson and not only does the trimmer itself look like Rube Goldberg designed it, the wall of text setup and use instructions tell me the thing is a pain in the ass to use.

I love my giraud but it looks pretty easy to use, at least not any worse than the giraud.

I like that. My fingers get sore going from the WFT, to the trim mate. Nothing like chucking them up in the old Lee trimmer. Ugh!
With the giraud bench top the only fatigue I get is my finger tips themselves where Im gripping the case rim pushing it down with a slight twist. And really only the little bitty black out cases which are small enough I have to use the very tips of my fingers are a real pain. Putting on some nitrile gloves eliminates that negative with just that bit of cushion.
The henderson looks dope but I still dont like the idea of pilots going into the case necks.

I like the Henderson you use a shell holder Handel so you fingers don’t get worn down. Can’t tell you how many cases I’ve pushed in on the Lyman that spun around blistering my fingers.

The Giraud looks like that would happen also but I’ve heard many good things about them. That video above is a good representation of the ease of use of the HP one.

I’m just tryin to do it faster without hating my hands aftwr

I just ordered a Henderson after playing around with both the Giraud and the Henderson. I’m a fan of just swapping out the cutter head unit to change calibers with out needing a special shell holder for each but it’s really splitting hair between them.

Back to the whole cutter angle, doesn’t really matter with one you go with both work just as well.

Own both.

Henderson is by far easier to use.

I prefer my henderson over giraud. If you do multiple calibers and buy a cutter head for each, you end up pretty close to the same price.

Henderson is quieter than Giraud and also less handling of brass as you can drop the brass like the video shows.

Also no need to buy a bunch of pilots. And changing from something like a .223 to 6mm head is one set screw.

Nothing wrong with Giraud at all. But henderson kills it with convenience.
