Changing a muzzle break

I have a Colt LE901 in 308. I want to change the break/flash hider to an AAC to fit my suppressor.

What's the best way to loosen the existing break? Heat the threads and then twist off? It appears to have some thread locking material on it now.

If it is locktite, then a touch of heat. If it is Rockset, then impact.

It's my understanding if it's a Surefire brake dissolving the Rockset in water works best.
