Cheytac claims to be the only one loading .375?

Well I called Cheytac the other day asking about what ammo they have available for purchase. They proceeded to tell me about their 350gr Sierra loads and 419gr solids. I asked them about getting load data on them but they said it wasn't available anywhere online because they are the only one that loads this round commercially.

They said to "just look at the ballistic chart for the .408 on our website. The rounds shoot identical because they are loaded identical." I didn't have much time to question this but I was a little confused. I understood that the lack in velocity was made up for by the BC, but how could muzzle velocity (and therefore your drop) be the same between the .408 CT and .375CT?

In regards to them being the only one who loads them commercially; does anyone know why? Is this some sort of patent they have, and if so when does it run up? I would like to see Hornady start loading .375 CT but who knows if/when that would happen.

For those of you who hand load the .375 CT, how much does it cost per round? (assuming you do have brass as well as having to buy brass).

I get about 52 loads per pound of retumbo bullets are between 1-2 dollars+ each.Jamison went out of business so cost of brass could be up to 4 or 5 dollars each.

Yea I wondered about that after I saw Jamison went down. I can order rounds from Cheytac for $6.50 or $7.25 depending what kind I want. I think I am going to stick with buying factory loads until 375 CT becomes a little more commercially available. Because right now buying the reloading equipment needed for this isn't going to save me any money over just ordering it for an extra $1 or so per round from Cheytac.
