Police: Tampa man fatally beaten over chicken foot - The Washington Post

Over this?

Just imagine if and when the world goes TU and suburban types are killing each other at Kroger over loaves of bread.

In the meantime, stay frosty.

We raise nearly 400,000 chickens a year. And yes chicken feet are very big business. Nearly all the chicken feet from the US are exported to Asia. It is of upmost importance to maintain dry floors in the chicken houses to keep the feet from blistering. Personally I had much rather have a thigh!

If you ever have a chance, go try what the Chinese call "dim sum." It's little plates of food usually served from a steam cart that you pick and choose that get tallied up on a bill as you go. Dim sum includes chicken feet, and yes, they're delicious. My point was just that a human life doesn't balance out the loss of a chicken foot, no matter how tasty.

Jugo was jailed on $15,000 bail. Court records did not indicate whether he had hired a lawyer.

Public records show Jugo has been arrested 19 times previously in Florida.

20 is a charm?

WTF ?
you have been arrested 19 times previous and then you beat to Death someone and it only 15-K to post Bail and your OUT ???? . . just UnFuckingBelievable .
That Judge in that Florida Court has Head Up Ass on interpreting life's realities . I have never liked that flat white trash sand pit and this just enforces that even more that is going down the shitter.
.

True, it could have something to do with Santería, given those last names.

-
Murder, Voodoo and Chicken Feet ??? .
What are you trying to say ? . That maybe after immigration, they may not have harmoniously integrated into our American culture ????
.

When I was in my 20s, I lived in a neighborhood where Santería was common. There's nothing "un-American" about religious beliefs that you might not see represented with a big brick building on one of the main drags in a rural county seat somewhere in the middle of this country. It might not be within your experience, but I can assure you that my neighbors were proud to be here, mainstream beliefs or not.

If . Chicken Feet and Santeria religious rituals were attached to this murder/beating death . Then you are correct, it is not within my experience or represent much of what I know . I guess it does warm my heart a little that they are proud to be here . After all, this is America, where murder combined with 19 past arrests get you out on Bail and on the street or 15-K .

When I worked at the local hospital we had dress up day for Halloween and one of the office works (a lady and spouse of a local LEO) dressed up like a voodoo queen. She had a chickens foot on a rope around her neck. A wreck came in and one of the State Troopers (happened to be a black guy) and friends with all how worked there. The voodoo lady came out so he could see her costume and he kinda freaked out about it when he saw her. He placed his hand on his weapon and started backing away from her tell her not to get any closer. He was really scared the look on his face was like he saw something in this woman that he knew that would hurt him given the chance. And he was ready to stop it with force if needed. Kinda of crazy but something will get you hurt messing with people. Just like my dad punching out a officer in the service for dumping a snake in his lap. My dad was deathly scared of snakes when he was in the service and also hurt a lady trying to get away from a snake. She thru it on him and ran thru a two way door into a kitchen and stopped to look thru the glass in door. He was right behind her and the door split her head open when he came thru it.

Ya the mind is a pretty powerful thing and can believe 'anything' to be True Reality for certain people or circumstance . Like the mind of a person will belief in Santeria religious ritual Voodoo can also be real .

Real life example .
I have a best friend who is a Ham-shortwave enthusiast . When he keys-up the Mic. on certain Bands, sometimes it will turn-ON / Off the 'touch sensor lamp' in his living room .
But his next door neighbor husband & wife also experiences the same thing with his keying-up the Mic. from his house with there touch On-Off light flashing off and on .
The belief ' Reality In there Minds ' of this repeating random occurrences of flashing On-Off of this particular one light in there Living Room is that of there recently deceased daughter who died in the house and in ' There Minds belief ' is that it is her, spirit/ghost/soul /energy or What Ever your Mind believes in . Is it's way of the deceased daughter staying in contact with them from beyond her death .
My best buddy, He is a stand-up guy and will not pop there bubble by telling them true reality by letting believe what they want to see .
.

yeah some people have bad reactions on some things. An old friend of mine would go crazy if a bug got on him. One night he knocked a chick of my deck because a little beatle type bug landed on his back with shirt on. He went to jumping about and coming out his shirt you'd thought he was in a swarm of bees.
