they may have gotten ahead of something but I don't like the premise they based this off of. He bought a highpower rifle (what ever the fuck that means) and then a Ruger RPR with a "tripod". so, because of this he is crazy and should be removed from society?

I hope there is more to the story, and they had evidence he was off his cracked or heading that way. I have zero issues with booting him just for skipping class. If, however, they are ready to detain people in Florida for buying guns and having fucked up hair, look out....

Apparently you guys missed the part about the school counselor and statements made.
He also violated the terms of his visa. That alone is justification for deportation.

I understand the concerns with regards to OUR second amendment.

Isn't it strange that a Florida resident that is a full blown US citizen can't buy a firearm in states not bordering Florida, yet we allow foreigners to purchase them because they have a hunting license?
WTF?

He opened a fortune cookie and it said "help me I am being held prisoner in fortune cookie factory". Then he went home died his hair and said "here hold my saki". He was just trying to save a guy. :)

Apparently, you're sarcasm impaired.

Article proves, once again, immigrants have more rights.

Deported, essentially, because he was a non-student living in the country on a student visa. .the guns were just sauce for the goose.

Once his student visa was revoked- because he was not attending class and, therefore, no longer a student- his ownership of firearms became illegal. Deportation proceedings were started because of the visa. Things moved swiftly because of the guns.

The cops that said they saved a bunch of lives were pandering to a liberal media.

Violated his visa, deported fine. I dont have issue with that.

I try and not be a hypocrite (it is fucking hard some times). If our rights are inalienable are they not granted at birth to every human. Does God/nature only recognize the humans in the boarders of the USA as having these rights?

So he had a gun, is that not a human right? I do have issue with how it just takes a hunting license. I would think a safety/basic law course would be required.

I have issue with LEO, MSM making a big deal about the term "sniper". We all know the term is over used. Look everyone wants to be one, very few are.

I do understand that the way most people shoot. Me hitting steal at 600 yards would infer "sniper" to many. But alas that is not true.

exactly. You can't turn on the news without some dipshit calling a scoped rifle a sniper rifle, or any semi-auto an automatic or an assault rifle. The general population digests this shit and doesn't question it.

Again, I have no issues with him being deported for Visa violations. I also know we will likely never hear what the counselor heard but humor me..

My daughter is good friends with a young woman who is getting her masters in psychology to become a social worker. She is anti-gun, and really can't explain why. When ever we talk about shooting matches etc., at least initially she looked disgusted. Her overhearing a conversation about us brianstorming to improve grouping at 1k alarmed her. She still can't wrap her head around why we concealed carry. Any talk about liking firearms and shooting is cause for concern to her.

The kid bought a vet, some guns and died his hair. He may have just been chasing pussy.

That is absolutely true and I agree with it. On the other hand, we are in the top 20 free countries on the planet (mostly because of how our tax and spend government economically enslaves us) and probably the most free with respect to firearms. Leave here and you have NO rights to protect yourself or own firearms.

I can make the logical case that once a resident alien breaks the terms of his residency he has effectively broken the law, and I don't think anyone would argue that rights can't be suspended for criminals and punishment. Ergo, yes it's a right, which is why aliens can possess firearms, no it is not absolute if they break the terms of their residency...

Or, something like that...

With the heightened state of fear these days & the utter bungling (if it was really "bungling") of the FBI & LE at so many levels in the recent shootings, you can see why they went after the low hanging fruit for maximum PR and least cost.

Lawfully admitted foreigners share most of our same civil liberties, so nothing wrong with him owning a gun, but the law does say once you step off the straight and narrow, you are at the mercy of the whims of the government.

This kid didn't look to be a big threat at the time, but again why take the chance, there is a whole world of people begging to take his place, so toss him out, try another one. He sounded more like a spoiled rich kid enjoying the good life in the USA on money his parents stole from their fellow countrymen. Send him back to China to get a good taste of being taught how to behave.
