ok guys, I think I pulled a rookie mistake. I decided to see if I could clean my seating die in the ultrasonic cleaner with the same citranox solution I use for my brass..And I didn't do a test run on something else first....

we'll after 200 seconds I took out the die and almost all the parts were stained dark and pink....

Somebody tell me what the hell I just did and whether or not it's harmful or not? Is it just discoloration or have I started a corrosion process that is irreversable??? I've rinsed the die parts out really well, but they're all pink.

    any help would be great.

    Thanks

    I've got to laff.

You've just lightly electroless-plated your die by galvanic action with copper the citric acid had dissolved from your cases. It's harmless.

whew! Thanks Fuzzball. At least now I've got some unique looking redding comp seating die!

actually I just tried taking it off with some 0000 steel wool and it started to come off...

Man, that really freaked me out.
