How do you guys clean your muzzle brake? Mine is dirty as balls. Q tips with boretech eliminator are soaked black and blue with multiple passes thru. Almost an endless process. Any better way to clean a brake?

I always clean mine after shooting, qtips and a plastic brush always work. A coating of Kroil may help after sitting overnight or longer.

Soak it in a container of Bore Tech C4 Carbon Remover for a few hours (or overnight) and then just rinse off with plain water. All Carbon gone and you can reuse the c4 for quite some time. I usually change out to fresh solution about every 6 mos. and clean brakes weekly.

I use Bore Tech C4 also. I push in a couple of patches into the brake and soak them with C4 and let it sit. Does a nice job!

palmik, C4 by Bore Tech is engineered to deal with carbon only and will do a better job than Eliminator for that task.
